PAINTER - SCULPTOR - WRITER

I was educated at Dartington Hall School in Devon and Saint Martin’s School of Art in London. NDD in Fine Art: ATD at University College, London.  Certificate after a course in Italian Renaissance Painting at The Courtauld Institute, London.  Have exhibited both in Liverpool and nationally. My special interest is in the changing light and durability of landscape. In portraiture I aim to capture transience in a sitter’s expression, combined with my interpretation of their character. I have made large oil paintings of volatile international events, and hope to alert interest in Amnesty International and the British Red Cross. I also paint on ceramics made by my son, Robert Goldsmith at Selborne Pottery in Hampshire. Obviously I love both paint and clay!
